I was at JFK Airport when I tried this app and I enjoyed the nice engagement it provides. Color following the success of Instagram – the universe of obsessed instant photo sharing, completes the experience with a tonne of great social features and creates location based group albums.

All users collaborate to produce photo sharing with all other users available around 150 feet and help to create a multi-lens view for an amazing perspectives in real time. In the same time you can comment and interact with the people taking photos.
Bill Nguyen, founder of Color and previously founder of Lala (acquire by Apple 1 year ago), explains, the company hopes to integrate aspects of Google, Groupon, and Foursquare.
“What we saw on all these sites–whether it was Foursquare or everyone else– was that they would do these random ads nearby, you know, because you’re in Palo Alto you must want an ice cream or a bikini wax,” he continues. “Because we are so good at identifying exactly where you are, we wanted to make that experience slightly different. – Bill Nguyen“
What is interesting is that Bill already invest $41 million into the service.
